Daniel Gelbard started as a museum volunteer in 2000. He has helped out at the museum in a variety of ways. He is a member of Backwoods Players the museum’s theatre company. Through the years Daniel has sported many different facial hairstyles in support of museum events and programs as illustrated below.

Daniel won first place in the Heritage Partial Beard Category in the first annual Beard & Moustache Competition and is registered for the competition again this year.

He has a full natural beard as he played Samuel Munger in the Tavern scene of A Spirit Walk.

He played Count Vladomir Dragomir in 2008 Whodunit?: The Case of the Novel Death. He had a Imperial Moustache and Goatee for this play.
